Passed on to the Committee on Finance and Monetary Policy. The document has been discussed at its 54th extraordinary meeting of 17 May 2013.

And at it's 62nd meeting of 24 May 2013 the Committee on EU Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the following Position:

The Republic of Slovenia supports the reasons for introducing financial transaction tax in the framework of enhanced cooperation, and the objectives enshrined in the Proposal for a Council Directive implementing enhanced cooperation in the area of financial transactions tax. The Republic of Slovenia supports the introduction of financial transaction tax with a broad tax base and a low tax rate, and will strive for developing a system of tax that is as less administratively burdening on the tax payers and simple to collect as possible. The Republic of Slovenia will thoroughly examine the impacts of financial transaction tax on the consumers.
