The Committee for European Affairs decided on 31/3/2016 by its Resolution No. 262 to deliberate on the document and appointed the Member Mrs. Soňa Marková as rapporteur.

The Committee for European Affairs at its 50th meeting on 28/4/2016 by resolution No. 274

1. takes note of the Proposal for a Council Decision authorising enhanced cooperation in the area of ​​jurisdiction, applicable law and the recognition and enforcement of decisions on the property regimes of international couples, covering both matters of matrimonial regimes and the property consequences partnership COM (2016) 108 final and the government framework position to this document;

2. takes note of the Proposal for a regulation on jurisdiction, applicable law an the recognition and enforcement of decisions in matters of matrimonial property regimes COM (2016) 106 final and the government Framework position to this document;

3. takes note of the proposal for a Council Regulation on jurisdiction, applicable law and the recognition and enforcement of decisions in matters of the property consequences of registered partnerships COM (2016) 107 final and the government framework position to this document;

4. considers it important that the draft regulations do not affect the substantive national law of the Member States;

5. notices positively that the draft regulations may help to reduce the complexity of the issue of cross-border property disputes between spouses or partners, and to reduce the associated costs;

6. decides to forward the document along with its resolution and gowernment framework position for information to the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs
