Information on parliamentary scrutiny


The proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL laying down common provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund covered by the Common Strategic Framework and laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 was forwarded to the specialised committees:

-       Committee on Budget and Finance

-       Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities

-       Committee on Rural Affairs

-       Committee on Audit

-       Committee on Social Affairs and Labour

 

All specialised committees (except Committee on Audit) concluded that the proposal is in compliance with the principle of subsidiarity. The Committee on Audit concluded that the proposal is not in compliace with the principle of subsidiarity.

 

The Committee on European Affairs in its Conclussions examined Government‘s position and conclussions of the specialised committees, and decided that there is no possible breach of the subsidiarity principle.
