Information on parliamentary scrutiny

Scrutiny on the issue of setting up a Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group ("JSPG") on Europol's activities in the context of the ongoing debate on Article 53 of the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation and Training (Europol) and repealing Decisions 2009/371/JHA and 2005/681/JHA was initiated by the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus on the 11th November 2015. The said Committee issued an opinion on the matter on the 18th November 2015, which was transmitted to the EU Institutions on the 19th November 2015.
