Information on parliamentary scrutiny

On the 14th of november 2013, members of the VVD (People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) and the SP (Socialist Party) in the standing committees for Immigration and Asylum/Justice and Home Affairs Council and Security and Justice sent a letter to the European Commission in the framework of the political dialogue. The European Commission replied on 15 April 2014.

In addition, the committees held written deliberations with the Dutch government on the proposal.

The committees completed the scrutiny procedure on 6 May 2014.
