Information on parliamentary scrutiny
On 13 december 2013 the committee on Immigration and Asylum / Justice and Home Affairs Council sent a letter to the Dutch government. In the letter, the committee gives it support to the official position of the Dutch government on this proposal and COM(2013)619. The Dutch government has raised concerns with regard to the subsidiarity and proportionality of the proposals.
The committee completed the scrutiny procedure on 27 May 2014.

13/12/2013 | Political dialogue with the European Commission
On 13 December 2013 the committee for Immigration & Asylum / Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) sent a letter to the European Commission in the framework of the political dialogue. The letter contains questions and comments by the members of the parliamentary party of the SP (Socialist Party). The European Commission sent a letter on 25 March 2014 responding to the questions of the Socialist Party.
