Agreed decision: Given that the three proposals for directives are subject to the procedure outlined in Protocol 21 TEU/TFEU and the Committee may be referred one or more of the proposals for its consideration, prior to opt-in motions being considered by the Houses, it was agreed that these proposals warrant further scrutiny: The Committee also agreed to seek additional information from the Department of Justice and Equality in relation to two related proposals for recommendations on a) procedural safeguards for vulnerable persons suspected or accused in criminal proceedings, and b) the right to legal aid for suspects or accused persons in criminal proceedings. The Committee also agreed to seek additional information in relation to concerns expressed by another national parliament about COM(2013)821, as regards subsidiarity and to consider the three proposals COM(2013) 821, 822 and 824 again at the next meeting of the committee.
