The government submitted EU documents 17621/13, 17633/13, 17635/13 to the Chamber of Deputies on 12/17/2013.

Committee for European Affairs decided on 1/23/2014 by resolution No. 12 to discuss the document and appointed the member Mr. Marek Černoch asrapporteur.

Committee for European Affairs at its 6th meeting on 3/6/2014 by resolution No. 25

1. notes positively the Commission's efforts on establishing common minimum of the procedural guarantees for suspicious or accused persons in criminal proceedings in the EU Member States, in particular efforts to incorporate special safeguards for children

2. supports the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the strengthening
of certain aspects of the presumption of innocence and of the right to be present at trial in criminal proceedings (COM(2013)821 Final) and the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the strengthening of certain aspects of the presumption of innocenceand of the right to be present at trial in criminal proceedings (COM(2013)822 Final)

3. approves the governmen'ts framework position of the Czech Government on the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the strengthening of certain aspects of the presumption of innocence
and of the right to be present at trial in criminal proceedings fromthe 3th February 2014 and the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the strengthening of certain aspects of the presumption of innocence and of the right to be present at trial in criminal proceedings from the 21st January 2014

4. takes into account the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on provisional legal aid for suspects or accused persons deprived of liberty and legal aid in European arrest warrant proceedings
(COM(2013) 824 Final)

5.disagrees with the Commission's requirement that Member States shall issue a European arrest warrant, and possibly provide the requested person was paid by legal aid in the Member State in which that person has to arrest and surrender, for such a measure can not see any justification

6. considers as unnecessary the administrative and financial burden for Member States to collect data on the practical implementation of the rights enshrined submitted directives, especially in terms of the extent the collectiono which the Commission requires
