On 18 November 2014, the Joint Committee for EU Affairs adopted a Resolution regarding the compliance of the initiatives COM (2014) 557 final and COM (2014) 558 final, with the principle of subsidiarity.

The Resolution states that the proposals are in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity.
