The Committee on Internal Affairs, Public Administration and Local Self-Government discussed the proposal at its 25th meeting of 7 September 2016.
And at it's 96th meeting held on 9 September 2016 the Committee on EU Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the following Position:
The Republic of Slovenia supports the proposed changes aimed at developing the EURODAC database into an information system which will enable, at the level of the entire EU, full traceability and identification of applicants for international protection and illegal migrants, while pointing out that in introducing new solutions, the principle of proportionality also needs to be taken into account.
