Information on parliamentary scrutiny

The Committee on European Affairs discussed the proposal on its meeting of 11 June 2018. The key points of the proposal as well as the state of play were summarized by the deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior.

The Committee on European Affairs of the Hungarian National Assembly decided to launch scrutiny procedure on the legislative proposal on its meeting of 26 September 2016.

The Committee handles the key proposals concerning the reform of the Common European Asylum System issued in July 2016 [COM(2016)465-468] jointly, thus it discusses them within the same item on the agenda.

The Committee on Defence and Law Enforcement was requested to build opinion on the EU draft at the beginning of the procedure.

At the meeting of 24 October 2016 of the Committee on European Affairs the key points of the proposals, the main elements of the negotiating position of the Government as well as the state of play of the EU decision-making process were highlighted by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.

The Committee on Defence and Law Enforcement discussed the above mentioned proposals on its meeting of 29 November 2016, where the opinion of the Committee was adopted.

The Committee on European Affairs the proposal on its meeting of 20 March 2017 and the key points of the proposal, the main elements of the negotiating position of the Government as well as the state of play of the EU decision-making process were highlighted by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting of the Committee on European Affairs held on 7 June 2017, the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior summarised the key points of the position of the Government as well as the state of play of the EU decision-making process regarding the EU draft. Then, the Committee on European Affairs adopted its standpoint on the governmental position pertaining to the EU draft.

At the meeting of 7 November 2017 of the Committee on European Affairs the key points of the proposal, the main elements of the negotiating position of the Government along withthe state of play of the EU decision-making process were highlighted by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.

Since the National Assembly's 2014-2018 term ended on 8 May 2018, the scrutiny procedure was therefore concluded.
