9 May 2017 Agreed decision: It was agreed that there are no subsidiarity concerns with this proposal. It was also agreed that this proposal warrants further scrutiny. It was also agreed the Committee request a detailed note from the Department outlining changes to legislation that will be necessary and what extra powers (if any) will be required by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC). It was also agreed to request a written observation from the CCPC on the proposal and their capacity to implement any changes.


7 November 2017 Agreed decision: It was agreed that this proposal warrants further scrutiny. It was also agreed that the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) and officials from the Department be invited to address the Committee on the proposal. It was also agreed to request a submissions on the proposal from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Commission for Communication Regulation.


13 February 2018 Agreed decision: It was agreed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny.
