Information on parliamentary scrutiny

The document No. 8411/18 was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies on 4/27/2018.

The Committee for European Affairs decided on 5/9/2018 by its Resolution No. 77 to    deliberate on the document and appointed the Member Mr. Ondřej Veselý as rapporteur.

The Committee for European Affairs at its 14th meeting on 6/20/2018 by Resolution No. 114

 

1. takes into account the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council lying down rules to facilitating the use of financial and other information for the prevention, detection, investigation or prosecution of certain criminal offenses and repealing Council Decision 2000/642/JHA and the Government’s Framework Position;

2. considers it necessary first to fully implement the existing legislation and lthe egislation that will be adopted in the near future, to monitor the impact of this legislation for some time and then to evaluate its implementation. Only if the current legislation does not improve cooperation, it can be taught about  further steps;


3. requests the Government of the Czech Republic to inform it about the further discussion of this Proposal in the Council and its preparatory bodies and the attitude it will take in this debate.
