13/01/2020 | Resolution
On 19 December 2019 the Committee on Agriculture and Agrifood production adopted a favourable resolution instructing the Government, at its negotiations in EU fora, to propose the following:
-    the current transitional period should be extended at least until 31 December 2022, given the current uncertainty owing to the delay in approving the MFF;
-    adequate financial resources should be ensured within new PAC negotiations;
-    farmer support policies should be pursued;
-    in the process of approving the 2021-2027 PAC, initiatives should be taken in order to overcome critical issues arisen in farmers support incentives;
-    new PAC reform proposals should ensure: a greater effectiveness of measures; an effective ability to overcome market volatility and face emergencies; a simplification in programming procedures and measure management.
