The document No. 12190/18 was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies on 9/17/2018.

The Committee for European Affairs decided on 9/26/2018 by its Resolution No. 138 to deliberate on the document and appointed the Vice-chirman Mr. Ondřej Veselýr as rapporteur.

The Committee for European Affairs at its 21st meeting on 12/12/2018 by Resolution No. 169


1. takes into account the Annex to the Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament and the European Council A Europe that protects: an initiative to extend the competences of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office to cross-border terrorist crimes;

2.  considers it necessary for the European Public Prosecutor’s Office to start up its activities first, and if it is demonstrates the ability to solve the issues that have been entrusted to it, than it is possible to extend its powers to other areas such as cross-border terrorist offenses;

3. calls on the Government of the Czech Republic to inform it of any discussion of this Communication in the Council and of the position it will take in this debate.
